On 23 September 2026, ZFB Travel was invited by Tourism Malaysia to attend the Majlis Pelancaran Pakej Pelancongan EDU+ 2.0, Eatventure & Taste of Orchard at Saloma Kuala Lumpur.

It was a nice afternoon bringing together tourism industry players, Tourism Malaysia officers, tour operators and partners from different parts of Malaysia. The event also had a batik theme, so everyone was encouraged to come dressed in batik. We were happy to join in and add a little Malaysian character to the afternoon.

Three New Tourism Products

The programme focused on the launch of three tourism products:

  • EDU+ 2.0

  • Eatventure

  • Taste of Orchard

Each one highlights a different side of Malaysia's tourism offerings, from educational travel and food experiences to agricultural and orchard tourism.

This is particularly relevant to us at ZFB Travel because EDU tours and food tours are already part of what we do.

We organise educational and student tours for groups looking to experience Malaysia beyond the classroom, while through MalaysiaTaste, we operate food tours that introduce visitors to Malaysian food, local neighbourhoods and our multicultural food heritage.

So it was interesting for us to see Tourism Malaysia highlighting these areas as part of the country's wider tourism offerings.

Meeting Tourism Malaysia Officers and Old Friends

One of the best parts of attending tourism industry events is getting to meet people again.

We had the opportunity to catch up with Tourism Malaysia officers as well as some familiar faces from the agro-tourism industry.

We previously joined the Jelajah Agro Perak bersama Tourism Malaysia, where we explored several agro-tourism experiences in Perak as part of the preparations leading up to Visit Malaysia 2026.

Meeting the same people again in Kuala Lumpur was a nice reminder that the tourism industry is a relatively close-knit community. There is always someone we have worked with before, met on a familiarisation trip, or crossed paths with at another tourism event.

A Taste of Malaysian Culture

The launch was not just about presentations.

There was a traditional dance performance, bringing some Malaysian culture into the programme, followed by a Sarawak sumpit experience where guests could have a go at using the traditional blowpipe.

It was a simple but enjoyable activity, and a good example of how cultural experiences can become part of a tourism programme.

There were also light meals and tea served during the event, giving everyone some time to relax and catch up with fellow tourism industry members.

A Little Something to Take Home

Before leaving, guests were also given a bag of goodies from the organisers.

It was a nice finishing touch to the afternoon, and certainly more useful than leaving an event with just a stack of brochures.

Looking Towards Visit Malaysia 2026-2027

With the national tourism campaign now extending to Visit Malaysia 2026-2027, initiatives such as EDU+ 2.0, Eatventure and Taste of Orchard are timely additions to Malaysia's tourism landscape.

At ZFB Travel, we are looking forward to seeing how these products develop and how we can incorporate new experiences into our own tours.

For us, this includes our educational tours, group tours, inbound programmes and food experiences through MalaysiaTaste, as well as customised programmes for visitors coming to Malaysia.

Malaysia has plenty to offer beyond the usual landmarks. Food, culture, education, agriculture and local experiences can all become part of a meaningful itinerary, whether the visitors are Malaysian students, families, corporate groups or international travellers.

Thank you to Tourism Malaysia for inviting us to the launch and for putting together an enjoyable afternoon at Saloma Kuala Lumpur.

It was good to reconnect with old friends, meet new people, learn about the three new tourism products and, of course, spend an afternoon in batik.
